8 HRM FACULTY PASS TESDA COMMERCIAL COOKING APPRAISALSPosted September 18, 2008
EIGHT FACULTY members of the School of Hotel, Restaurant and Institution Management at Arellano University Main in Legarda, Manila recently passed the assessments conducted by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and obtained their National Certificate (NCII) in Commercial Cooking from the same agency.
This was disclosed by HRM Dean Christi Aldave in a report last week to the AU President and COO Francisco P. Cayco.
The eight, who are now TESDA-certified Commercial Cooking faculty members, are Chef Joselito Gacutara, Geraldine Maglalang, Alejandro Roslinda, Ditas Purisima Raymundo, Lilia Almonte, Judelino Mabutin, Vicente Eduardo Molina, and Maryjean Tio.
According to Dean Aldave, the TESDA certification for their faculty consequently qualifies the school to offer short courses in Culinary Arts.
She also said that bolstered by these new NCII holders, the school becomes qualified as well to apply as an assessment venue for Commercial Cooking. (cco)
