  SHTM of AU Pasay Brings Home Top Award from Bicol Culinary Fest

The students and faculty of the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management of Jose Abad Campus in Pasay City ended its award-laden year with the Over-All Champion Award in the 1st Bicol e-Culinary Festival 2011, one of the major events of the 1st Bicol e-Festival @ Grand Terminal-Legaspi held December 18, 2011 at the Oriental Hotel, Legaspi City, and Albay.

  AU Legarda Campus SHTM Dean, Two Students Win Awards in the 2nd Grand Culinary Challenge

Dean Christi Aldave of the School of Hotel and Tourism Management (SHTM) won 3rd place in the Dean’s Culinary Festival of Regional Cuisines event of the 2nd Grand Culinary Challenge 2011 (GCC) held November 11 at the World Trade Center, Pasay City, together with students Charmane Salvador, who won 3rd prize in the Buffet Setting Challenge (theme: Baby Shower), and Jay Ran O. Dineros, who won 2nd place in the Grand Housekeeping Challenge. The former was coached by faculty member Alejandro Y. Roslinda III; the latter, by faculty member Marvin C. Costales.

  AU Pasay SHTM ends the year with another Champion Award

Earning the highest points in the Unilever’s Lipton Black Tea mixing competition, the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management of AU in Pasay was declared Overall Champion, after winning the First Place in the Hot Tea Category, Second Place in the Cold Tea category and the Most Refreshing Drink Award.

  On-The-Spot Parol Making Contest Builds Up Christmas Spirit in Au

The AU Main Student Council - sponsored On –the Spot Parol Making Contest drew enthusiastic response from the students from the six campuses of Arellano University. Held December 5 at the Plaridel Hall Lobby, Legarda Campus, students from elementary to college departments participated in the activity, dubbed Christmas in Our Arts.

  Chinese Students Hold Closing Ceremonies; GIBVC Officials Attend

Thirty two students of Guangxi Agricultural Vocational Technical College (GAVTC) and 14 students of Guangxi International Business Vocational College (GIBVC) held their Closing Ceremony and Cultural Show on separate occasions , officially ending the 5-month Business Course they attended at Arellano University in Pasay City, the former on November 17 while the latter, on November 30, at the Multi-Purpose Hall of the Jose Abad Santos Campus in Pasay City.

  Bambusetum Project Launched In Pangil, Laguna

After signing the tri-partite agreement among and between Arellano University (AU), the LGU of Pangil, Laguna and the Ecosystems Research and Development Bureau (ERDB) of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), AU Chairman and CEO Francisco P. V. Cayco, Mayor Juanita Manzana of the Municipality Pangil, Laguna and Director Marcial Amaro Jr. of ERDB-DENR broke the ground for the ceremonial bamboo planting at the Pangil River Eco Park in Brgy. Natividad, Pangil, Laguna last October 12, 2011, kicking-off the bambusetum project of the town.
