In partnership with IMI University Centre of Lucerne, Switzerland

www.imi-luzern.com

AU offers an alternative academic program for students interested in hospitality and tourism management. Through our partnership with IMI University Centre of Lucerne, Switzerland, students can now opt to take a Hospitality and Tourism Program that leads to a Swiss Bachelor of Arts Degree (with Honors) in International Hotel and Tourism Management.

The program is open to high school graduates and college transferees who wish to study in the Philippines to earn a qualification that they can use for pursuing a degree in Switzerland.

High school graduates are required to take a 1 year Pre-IMI program which prepares them for taking the IMI Higher Diploma Program in International Hotel and Tourism Management. College transferees who have academic credits equivalent to the Pre-IMI courses are eligible to enrol directly to the Higher Diploma Program. The IMI Higher Diploma program is equivalent to third year of university in Switzerland and provides students with a measure of specialization aligned with Swiss standards in hospitality and tourism.

The IMI Higher Diploma program is to be conducted in AU for a period of six months (1 semester). Thus, students get to experience Swiss quality of education in a Filipino environment, making their studies economical and bicultural. Upon completion of the Higher diploma program, students become eligible for transfer to IMI’s campus in Lucerne to take the 1 semester (6 months) IMI BA Degree (Hons) in International Hospitality Management. The students will then have to undergo 1 semester (6 months) of paid practical training in IMI’s partner hotels in Switzerland. The BA degree that the students will earn becomes their key to enter the rapidly expanding hospitality and tourism industry not only in Switzerland, but around the world.
