International Cultural Exchange Program

AU students taking Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management and Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management may qualify for a three-month international practicum program in the United States. This is made possible by the partnerships that AU established with institutions that promote and facilitate the International Educational and Cultural Exchange Program (IECEP). IECEP is recognized by the Commission of Higher Education of the Philippines and by the United States’ Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Under the program, students may participate in paid on-the-job training in various establishments that have legitimate ties with the IECEP institutions. These may include restaurants, hotels, amusement parks and resorts. To maximize the learning experience, students are assigned work positions that are in line with their areas of study. This is ensured to see to it that students who join the program get to fulfill the requirements of their practicum subject. Thus, the program enables students to apply and develop certain competencies that are required for them to progress in their respective courses. Moreover, the students benefit by having the chance to interact with people of different nationalities and cultures, and adapt to a foreign work environment.

Our partners institutions for the international practicum program are:

  • First Place Incorporated
  • HR International Inc.
    POEC Consultancy
