Dr. Christopher Churchouse, International Nursing Clinical Coordinator of the Edith Cowan University (ECU) of Perth, Australia, made a 3-day visit at Arellano University, March 8-10, 2010. He advised students interested to study and possibly, work in Australia, about the programs available to them at ECU.
Specifically, Dr. Churchouse discussed the details of the Nursing Program of ECU and its difference from the Filipino Nursing Program
Dr. Churchouse also made observations on Philippine health system and services when he visited two of AU's affiliate hospitals, Medical City Hospital and Quirino Memorial Medical Center.
He attended the Australia exhibit and delivered the lecture on ECU programs for Filipinos in the morning of March 10 then proceeded to meet with the faculty and students of the International Nursing Program in the afternoon to encourage the students to set their sights on Australia for their fourth year study of nursing. The AU INP program requires a three-year study of nursing at Arellano University, and their fourth year in either the United States or Australia
Leaving the country on March 11, he mentioned that he was very impressed with the communication skills of AU students.
