 NURSINGOverview
The Arellano University School of Nursing grew out of the Graduate Nurse Program which was organized in 1960. The course leading to the B.S.N. Degree was started in 1965. Its first group of graduates took the Board Examination for Nurses in June, 1970.
The School of Nursing is headed by a Dean who is assisted and supported by the Coordinators and Staff in the execution of such functions and affairs of the school.
The organization and administration of the school are in accordance with the general policies that govern the Institutes in the University.
Goals & Objectives
At the end of the BSN course, the student will be able to:
- Compete with other well-prepared professional nurses to become globally employable in other cultures like USA, UK and others.
- Cope with the fast pace of nursing practice here and abroad as influenced by the changing needs and health conditions/problems of clients.
- Develop relevant nursing skills in the care of clients throughout their life span.
- Internalize correct caring values (ethic/rural/social/legal/spiritual) in the management of clients with system/multi-system alterations.
- Practice critical thinking through the analysis of cases encompassing several nursing specializations in a variety of hospital, clinical, and community settings.
