 GRAND LAUNCHING DAY OF YEARBOOK 2009 The long wait is finally over for the graduates of Batch 2009 as the Yearbook, The Chiefs was launched on November 20, 2009 at the Plaridel Hall Lobby, AU Legarda Campus. This was made possible through the considerable endeavor of the Student-Personnel Services Office spearheaded by the Assistant Vice-President for SPS, Mrs. Grace V. Cayco together with the Editorial Staff '09 headed by Mr. Andrew Ferdinand A. Del Pilar, outgoing Editor-in-Chief, and Mr. Winnlove Nario, Associate Editor, who provided the welcome and closing remarks, respectively. It took 9 months in the making of the said yearbook, however, as the cliché goes, "It's worth the wait"!! On the Grand Launching Day, a short program, emceed by Mr. Emil Lawrence Javier and Ian Mark Nobalvos, both from the Editorial Board 2009, was prepared to inaugurate the well-attended affair.
Significantly, Mrs. Ninfa G. Velasco, head of the Alumni Services Office graced the occasion and extended her warm support through her inspirational message. Spotted on the program was the Dean of the Office of Student Affairs (OSA), Mr. John C. Postrado, Jr. to show his moral support on the event. Moreover, a surprise dance number with the celebrated music, Nobody But You, was rendered by the future Editorial staff and was highlighted by the special participation of no less than the Level IV Coordinator, Mrs. Amelita G. Raagas and Ms. Olive L. Dantes, Executive Assistant of the SPS Department, which was tremendously appreciated through demonstrative applause and standing ovation by the crowd, most especially by the Nursing graduating students.
The launching day also featured the presentation of the Editorial Board for 2010 Yearbook led by Mr. Zaldy Diaz, incumbent Editor-in-Chief, who imparted a brief, yet, meaningful message to his batch mates; likewise, the giving of yearbook to the President's Office, Alumni Office and College Library. Part and parcel of the event is the distribution of the yearbook to the graduates of 2009 which was then carried out at the end of the program and onwards.
